I've seen a lot of wolly worms this year, and they are really wolly! Does that mean we are in for a cold and snowy winter? Or is it something about the stripes? I can't remember.
I grew up on a dairy farm and my mom and dad always believed that kind of stuff. He would only plant the garden during the right phase of the moon and he read the Farmer's Almanac. All I can say is we always had a lot of fresh vegetables from the garden!
